Ramcharitmanas Sampurn Hindi Audiobook

by Goswami Tulsidas

📖 Ramcharitmanas Sampurn Hindi Audiobook — Hindi Audiobook ke Baare Mein

Shri Ramcharitmanas by Goswami Tulsidas is among the most beloved sacred texts in North India. Composed in the sixteenth century in Awadhi, it tells the life of Lord Shri Ram with such devotion and beauty that it became a living part of daily worship, festivals and family life. This Ramcharitmanas Hindi audiobook brings the story of the Manas to listeners at home, and the listed duration is about 14 hours 51 minutes.

What the Ramcharitmanas is

The Ramcharitmanas, whose name means the lake of the deeds of Ram, retells the story of the Ramayana for ordinary devotees. While Maharishi Valmiki's Ramayana is in Sanskrit, Tulsidas wrote in the language of the people, using chaupais, dohas and sorathas that are easy to sing and remember. Tradition holds that he began the work in Ayodhya on Ram Navami. The story is framed as a series of conversations, including Lord Shiva narrating it to Mata Parvati and Kakbhushundi narrating it to Garuda, which gives the text a gentle, devotional voice throughout.

The seven kands

Bal Kand describes the birth of Shri Ram and his brothers in Ayodhya, their childhood, their journey with sage Vishwamitra, and Ram's marriage to Sita after he breaks the great bow of Shiva in Janakpur.

Ayodhya Kand tells of the planned coronation, Kaikeyi's demand, and Ram's acceptance of fourteen years of exile with Sita and Lakshman. It includes the touching meeting with Kevat the boatman and Bharat's journey to Chitrakoot, where he takes Ram's padukas to rule in his name.

Aranya Kand follows life in the forest, the abduction of Sita by Ravan, and Ram's meeting with Shabari, whose simple devotion Tulsidas honours deeply.

Kishkindha Kand describes Ram's friendship with Hanuman and Sugriv and the search for Sita.

Sundar Kand, perhaps the most recited section, tells of Hanuman's leap to Lanka, his meeting with Sita in the Ashok Vatika and the burning of Lanka.

Lanka Kand describes the building of the bridge, the great war and the victory over Ravan.

Uttar Kand narrates the return to Ayodhya, Ram's coronation and the ideal of Ram Rajya, along with profound teachings on bhakti, knowledge and the nature of devotion.

Teachings at the heart of the Manas

The Ramcharitmanas presents Shri Ram as maryada purushottam, the ideal of right conduct, as a son, husband, brother, friend and king. Bharat shows selfless love and renunciation, Lakshman shows loyal service, Sita shows strength and steadfastness, and Hanuman shows humble devotion joined with great power. Again and again, Tulsidas teaches that sincere bhakti and the repetition of Ram's name are open to everyone, regardless of birth or learning. The Manas also warns against pride, shown in the downfall of Ravan despite his great learning and strength, and praises satsang, the company of good people. Many households read a portion of the Manas daily, and the Sundar Kand is often recited on Tuesdays and Saturdays in honour of Hanuman ji.

Who should listen

This Hindi audio version suits devotees who want to experience the full story of Shri Ram, families who wish to share the Ramayan with children, elders who may find reading difficult, and anyone preparing for Navratri, Ram Navami, Diwali or an akhand path. Students of Hindi literature will also appreciate hearing the work that shaped the language and culture of so much of India.

About Goswami Tulsidas

Goswami Tulsidas was a poet-saint of the Bhakti movement who lived mainly in Varanasi and Ayodhya. Devotees traditionally regard him as a great devotee of Shri Ram and Hanuman. Besides the Ramcharitmanas, works traditionally attributed to him include the Vinay Patrika, the Kavitavali and the Hanuman Chalisa. His Manas also inspired the Ramlila traditions that are still performed across India every year.

Why listen in Hindi

The Ramcharitmanas was always meant to be sung and heard in the language of the people. Listening to Ramcharitmanas in Hindi carries forward that tradition of katha and satsang, letting the verses and stories reach your heart even when you cannot sit with the book.

Jai Siya Ram. May this journey through the seven kands bring peace and inspiration to your home.
